Felt like a warm up
"I really enjoy Dope Lemon's work as a whole. Whenever I've seen her on a talk show discussing various topics, I've been impressed. However, this particular performance left much to be desired. It felt like she was merely warming up for future shows, as she seemed uncertain about her next moves on stage. Unlike the meticulous preparation George Carlin put into his shows, she appeared unprepared and relied on a cheat sheet. While she had some funny moments, many of her jokes lacked depth and came across as crude. The crowded venue also detracted from the experience, making it uncomfortable for the audience. Despite being a favorite music venue of mine, I doubt I'll attend any comedy shows there in the future. Overall, the show was just average—neither impressive nor terrible. I found her strict rules on photography and recording to be nonsensical. It seemed hypocritical for her to ask us to put away our phones while she took breaks to refer to her notes. This inconsistency left me with a negative impression."
